Over 40 million Americans have seen Dateline’s ongoing popular series To Catch a Predator, which has caught over two hundred potential child predators. While the show exposed this epidemic, Chris Hansen’s book, To Catch a Predator, shares the true stories of families who have been targeted by predators, revealing the tactics predators use to manipulate their victims and why even cautious families can be vulnerable to their attacks. He also offers suggestions from police officers, therapists, and child predators on the best approaches for preventing these crimes. Most critically, he provides parents with concrete steps they can take to protect their kids today, including how to initiate meaningful conversations with their children. To Catch a Predator teaches parents and children what they need to know before the next predator strikes.

This video won’t play for me.
“Do you like older guys?”
“No.”
Chris Hanson is coming for you!
No doubt they are guilty of much, but his is entrapment to some extent. If you go and offer drugs to someone and they accept, there is no guarantee that they would have sought them if you hadn’t waved it in their face.
true, however the perverted justice guys (who are the ones chatting) never initiate the conversation
Why dont they plead guilty!?
i downvote everyone who uses hash tags #thisisnttwitter

After being captured for trying to have sex with a minor on to catch a predator, one of the sexual predators committed suicide in the trailer they filmed him in, after they called his wife.
I really appreciate what “To Catch A Predator” does. I’m 19 now but when I was 14 a guy online talked me into sneaking out with him and doing “things” to him; he was 28. I didn’t think anything of it at the time because he seemed so sweet. I went out with him twice. I stopped seeing him and now that I’m older I realize how sick it was and it makes me sick that someone would do that. I’m very happy that Dateline does what it does, it makes me feel like less girl will go through the sicko’s.
We admire the hard work you do with “To Catch a Predator,” we wish you would do some work in Canada too. It makes us happy to know that for everyone of these adults that are caught there is at least one child going to bed safe tonight. Aside from the obvious removal of these guys from the streets, the broadcast will hopefully have an impact on parents out there. We hope and pray that parents everywhere will keep a better watch on their children’s online activities.
Keep up the great work Dateline NBC
