This is the second film in Louis Theroux’s latest series of documentaries entitled “LA Stories”. In this episode Louis decides to make his way over to West Hollywood’s Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in order to get a better understanding of how Americans deal with terminal illness and death itself. Several patients and family members have agreed to be filmed, these cases include several forms of cancer and coma.

Hard to watch for sensitive persons. This doc is between immoral and insensitive, somewhere near curious to watch horrible things to others. It’s a breakage of personal bond between patient, doctor and family. Louis and spectators are rude intruders here…
But it also lets that patient tell their story while it’s happening I’m sure if the family, doctors or conscious patients felt uncomfortable at any point their footage/story or what ever wouldn’t have be used by the bbc.
