As the Russian and Allied forces began to surround Berlin in 1945, Adolf Hitler took refuge in a bunker located below the crumbling city. He had plunged the world into total war with the dream of founding a thousand year Reich and now his end was nearing.
What exactly happen within this bunker has long been pondered, however through this film we get to relive Hitler’s final days, detailed through never seen before interviews with the very people who shared that claustrophobic labyrinth with him.
The interviews were recorded in 1948, with these and the use of archive material and dramatisations we gain a unique insight into the Führer came to admit defeat as the Soviet army rampaged into central Berlin.
